Y2 visited the Walpole Park Kitchen Garden to learn about the history of the walled garden, the fruit and vegetables Sir John Soane would have planted there and the types of food people would have eaten in the early 1800s. We also planted some seeds and made a collage.
A number of Year 2 children came face to face with some 17th Century celebrities who had had the misfortune to be caught up in the Great Fire of London. The children will share the experience in their own words next week. Watch this space!

GROVE SITE PUPILS MAY BE COLLECTED AS NORMAL FROM THE GROVE SITE AT HOME TIME.
Pupils met at the Grove site on Friday3rd February. They discussed various issues with the PTA co-chairs over a squash and a biscuit (or two!) Minutes of this meeting, chaired by Jonathan Coffey, can be seen on the School Council page.
