The children enjoyed a fun filled Viking day!
The Big Write is a one hour session where the lights are dimmed, calming music plays, candles burn, and pupils write freely on a topic they have discussed as homework in the week before. It is a great opportunity to encourage talk across the community, and develops a very strong sense of writer's voice and some wider 'big issues'.
Year 3 had a fantastic Egyptian Day which included dressing up, making jewellery and mummification.
Year 6 have made some super slippers in DT this year.
Children in nursery class have been developing rhythm through a riveting drumming workshop which had as much laughter as it did drumming!
WE Day makes doing good, doable. Our school council were invited to take part in 'We Day' because of their hard work on raising the profile of loneliness within the local community

Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed celebrating World Book Day.
