Our catering service is run entirely in-house. We are pleased to offer fresh fruit platters, low-fat yoghurts, limitless salads, and freshly baked breads every day.
Menus and Suppliers
Our menus meet and exceed the standards laid down by the School Food Trust. We use seasonal vegetables, fresh food, and fair-trade products where possible. Fresh meats are supplied by a local butcher and the joints of ham or turkey for the sandwich bar are beautifully seasoned before roasting. The large majority of pupils and staff enjoy a school lunch together every day and dining is seen as an important part of our life together as a community.
On the Broadway site there is a healthy sandwich bar where pupils choose a type of bread (e.g. a wrap or a panini), meat fillings, and a range of raw vegetables and salads. The sandwich bar was introduced as a result of an initiative by the school council and it has proved to be very popular indeed. The school council gather views about school lunches each year and adaptations are made accordingly (where possible!).
A school meal costs £2.40 per day. On the Grove site, infant children receive a free school meal.
There is no need to pre-book. On the Broadway site, students simply add their name to the register as they enter the Great Hall.
A charge will appear on your parent pay account each day as soon as a lunch is taken. We do not operate a debt policy and thus all meals must be paid for by a Friday evening.
We cater for pupils with allergies. If you have any additional requests, please get in touch with our school chef via the office - the catering team are always willing to hep where they can.
