The Big Write is a one hour session where the lights are dimmed, calming music plays, candles burn, and pupils write freely on a topic they have discussed as homework in the week before. It is a great opportunity to encourage talk across the community, and develops a very strong sense of writer's voice and some wider 'big issues'.
