Time is running out!
On Tuesday, the Grove site had a visit from the Megacities Worship Team, a youth organisation based in Perth, Australia. They led an assembly- the theme was "We are all special". We enjoyed singing, dancing and sketches teaching us that our unique qualities make us special to God.
Year 1 and 2 Planting Session with Mrs Robbins
Year five are about to develop their printing skills inspired by the architectural and design work of Sir Gilbert Scott and George Frederick Bodley
St John the Baptist and Our Lady houses meet all day in book character costumes on the Broadway Site whilst St Mary Magdalene and Ss Peter and Paul spend all day on the Grove Site. The atmosphere is electric!
Year 3 have been visiting Ealing Central Library to hear from Dr Oates about the changes to Ealing since the 1900's. Pupils handled a book written in 1893 and saw a video clip of what life was like 111 years ago!
Y2 visited the Walpole Park Kitchen Garden to learn about the history of the walled garden, the fruit and vegetables Sir John Soane would have planted there and the types of food people would have eaten in the early 1800s. We also planted some seeds and made a collage.
A number of Year 2 children came face to face with some 17th Century celebrities who had had the misfortune to be caught up in the Great Fire of London. The children will share the experience in their own words next week. Watch this space!
