Bake a Brick Day a Great Success on the Grove Site

Published

The children on the Grove site had a wonderful morning, making bricks to raise funds for the Ibba Girls' school in South Sudan.  We had an army of parent volunteers who mixed bucket after bucket of flour and water paste, which we combined with shredded newspaper to create our own bricks.  It was a sticky experience for us all, but one that we really enjoyed.  As a result of the children's efforts and the support of our parents, we raised over £840 to help build the school in South Sudan.  There are still a few contributions yet to come in, so the total may well rise further.

The team at the Ibba project were delighted with our efforts.  Many thanks to you all for engaging so willingly with this worthy project.  Click here to view more pictures in the gallery.
