Black History Month - Year 4

Published

Throughout October, Year 4 completed individual, personalised projects on powerful and important black people who changed our world for the better. From musicians such as Bob Marley and B.B. King to sporting greats like Mohammad Ali; pupils were inspired and could appreciate the efforts of individuals who had to endure and live through such difficult times.

After lively classroom discussion (and lots of music), pupils then used what they had learned to write an information text or create posters. Many pupils opted to present their work through Powerpoint which impressed everyone and showed a development of an essential skill needed further up the school. It was a privilege to present to other year 4 classes too, whereby pupils could positively comment on each others' work.
