Citizens UK: Accountability Assembly
Our church is a member of Citizens UK - a broad-based alliance of community institutions that work together for the common good.
On Wednesday 14th May 7.00pm - 9.00pm at William Perkin C of E school in Greenford they host an Accountability Assembly at which the candidates for the leader of the council in the forthcoming local elections will be presented with asks on a range of issues that have been decided upon through a lengthy listening campaign which has been conducted across Ealing and decided upon by our members. These are:
- social care
- safety on buses (especially the safety of young people)
- and access for the disabled.
Members of Ealing Citizens institutions will present asks in each of these issues, and we will hear the councillors respond. The event is open to members of institutions and their guests, and the church would like to extend an invitation to all parents that would like to attend.
There will also be refreshments, music and entertainment throughout the evening and the Bishop of Willesden will address the meeting at the end.
If you would like to attend you must RSVP via the eventbrite event below, and indicate that Christ the Saviour as your institution. It is a great chance to get more involved in our democratic process and work together for the common good.
