Class Assemblies start with a BANG!

Published

6LY started off our class assemblies with a literal bang this week with their flashy assembly on the British tradition Bonfire Night. They told the story of Guy Fawkes and his band of rebels as they plotted to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

We all learned some new information about this famous plot including that the cellars beneath the Houses of Parliament are still checked for explosives on the 5th November to this day! 6LY spoke clearly and were in fine voice as they treated us to a topical tune at the end.

As we waited for the assembly to begin, watchers were treated to music played by some of the young people from 6LY. It was so impressive to see the young people living by our school scripture verse and using their talents to serve others.

Well done 6LY!
