Commonwealth Day 2019
The Mayor of Ealing, Cllr. Tejinder Singh Dhami was delighted that some Year 5 representatives were able to join him for the raising of the Commonwealth flag earlier today. The children visited the Mayor’s Parlour after the flag raising ceremony and were joined in the Mayor’s Parlour by, The Mayor of Ealing, Cllr. Tejinder Singh Dhami, the Mayoress of Ealing, Mrs Rajinder Dhami, The Deputy Leader of the Council and Freeman of the Borough, Cllr. Yvonne Johnson, Freeman of the Borough, Cllr. Ranjit Dheer OBE and Superintendent, Mark Payne, Ealing Metropolitan Police.
The children were very well behaved and when given the opportunity to ask questions in the Council Chamber were very engaging. Year 5 children recently met some commonwealth representatives when they welcomed delegates from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. Click here for the news article.
