Planting in Walpole Park

Published

Pupils wrote to the park ranger of Walpole park to ask if we could help make our local green space an even better place.  The park ranger invited us to come and plant some bulbs for the Spring.

Pupils loved helping out yesterday and they said:

"We planted bulbs yesterday and it is really important and helpful for insects. When the plants get big, insects will come and pollinate plants."

"When the plants bloom they will look pretty and everyone who goes to the park will enjoy it.'

We are looking forward to returning to Walpole park soon to do a litter pick and help recycle some plastic.
