EYFS Origami Workshop

Published

This week, the children in reception were fortunate enough to learn about Origami. Origami (折り紙) from ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper" is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. A small group of parents ran classroom workshops teaching children about the history of Origami and demonstrated how to make Origami and the children were very excited to make their own origami Easter Chick. The children and teachers are very grateful to the parents who helped our children learn about this special folding practice.
