Funeral Arrangements for Mrs Steadman – Friday 9th December 2016

School closure
May we begin by thanking you for the vast number of kind messages we have received following the death of Mrs Steadman after more than three decades of serving at the school.  We have tried to keep disruption and changes to a minimum. Please can we ask that all children are collected promptly from school at 1pm – much preparation will need to go into getting ready for the service.

Parents and pupils wishing to attend the service
The seating in church has been reserved for family, colleagues and friends in the first instance. However, there will be a large, live video feed and additional musical support in the school’s Great Hall.  We will be delighted to see as many people as possible but please can we ask that parents and their children who are attending the service, proceed first to the Great Hall.  A caretaker will be on duty to guide you. Enter the School’s Broadway site as through the usual gate.  If the Great Hall is filled up, there may be overspill in the church hall too but this will have no video link.

The family have requested that those attending the church should wear something vibrant - this may be a tie or scarf.  The family have asked that you join them at the Rugby Club to celebrate Denise’s life.

Though grateful for some enquiries about flowers, the family have asked that should you wish, a deserving cause to which to make a donation would be via this dedicated link: Cancer Research UK
