House Captain Elections

Published

We were thrilled today to have thirty nine Year 6 pupils put themselves forward as candidates for the House Captain elections. All of the them had prepared speeches in advance, ready to be delivered on election day.

The candidates impressed us with their confidence and courage as they stood before their peers and explained why they should be elected, first at the Grove site and then at the Broadway site. There was a lot of creativity and imagination shown to attract the goodwill of the voters; posters, leaflets, magic tricks, rapping and question and answer sessions were all used to earn the voters' approval.

Counting of the votes is now under way and results will be announced shortly.

Whatever the outcome, it was an absolute delight today to see so many pupils participating so actively and enthusiastically in our own school democracy.
