Mary Anning visits Year 3

Year 3 have been studying how fossils are formed and today were visited by 'Mary Anning', a fossil hunter who became famous for discovering some of the most important fossils along the Jurassic coast in Dorset. The children were very excited to be able to handle fossils dating back over two hundred million years! They picked up top tips for finding fossils and are looking forward to trying some fossil hunting themselves. More photos in our gallery.
