Maths Day at the Grove

Published

Today children in EYFS and KS1 carried out a range of interactive and fun maths activities.  Pupils were able to put their mathematical knowledge to the test throughout the day and use this to create things such as fraction pizzas and numicon cities.  It also gave children a chance to talk through different ways to get the same answer and there were some super examples of peer talk and learning.  A year two pupil had this to say, 'It was really fun. We played lots of number games and did lots to do with our number bonds. There was a huge puzzle - we were adding and we had to help each other, listen to each other and take turns.'
