'Pipping' is when the chicks use their tiny beaks to break the shell.

On Friday the Grove site pupils gathered in the hall to hear from the School Council about the imminent arrival of eggs from the Happy Chick company.  The School Council very creatively explained the hatching process and the process of 'pipping' (when the chicks use their beaks to tap open the shell).  Two brave School Council members dressed up as chicks and acted out how they would want to be treated to become 'happy chicks'.  Click here to see photos from the assembly.  The eggs arrive on Tuesday 16th May so watch this space for more news!
