Reception enjoy reading

This week in Reception we have been enjoying reading books in our book corner. As a class we thought of why it is a special place. The children came up with some wonderful ideas.

"You can go on an adventure in books" " books are special because they tell you things like information". The children understood the importance of the book corner as they knew it was a quiet place for learning.

 We have been exploring the features of fiction and non fiction text, we learnt about the title, illustrator and blurb.
