Road Safety talk at the Broadway!

Children enjoying the Road Safety presentation.

Today at the Broadway we were part of an informative, insightful and very useful talk concerning road safety. We learnt how important it is to be aware of hazards around us as pedestrians. We recognised that although there are safe places to cross the road; such as zebra and pelican crossings, some drivers are not as cautious as others and can cause accidents despite our best efforts. Additionally, we learnt the importance of ensuring we are focussed when crossing roads; in particular, making sure we are listening and looking. With today's technological advances such as mobile phones and tablets, it is easy to become engrossed and therefore not pay attention to what is going on around us. Overall, we learnt some vital life and road safety skills that inevitably will help us navigate London's busy roads.
