Saving Humpty Dumpty

Published

Year 1 the children have been looking at different types of materials and identifying what properties they have. Once they found that there were many different properties an object can have, they wrote them down in a list using bullet points.

Then they were given a BIG challenge.  Theyt had to think of a way to stop Humpty Dumpty breaking each time he fell.  After a lot of research, they decided that the Big Egg needed a safe box to protect him.  The first safe bozes didn't work but after improved attempts, the children discovered that they needed to use soft and flexible materials instead of hard and rigid ones to keep Humpty in one piece.

Excellent work Year 1.  This was a sp-EGG-tacular bit of problem solving.  We are EGG-stremely sorry for our bad jokes.
