The School Council - responding to local issues
Today the School Council delivered an inspiring assembly on loneliness which was led by Y6 councillors. Our student councillors planned, drafted and wrote a thought-provoking assembly and used their brilliant acting skills to highlight how different people from various walks of life may feel lonely at times. They shared ideas on how to help and the ways in which they plan to tackle lonelness within our school and local community.
We were also delighted to be joined by Mrs Armstong-Barr who shared her experiences of making a documentry for the BBC on the topic of loneliness. Needless to say, this has sparked some lively and thoughtful discussion around the school today with everyone keen to make a difference. Well done to all the School Council members for their iluminating and inspiring work.
