St Mary’s CE School Norwood Green

Published

Dear Parents,

We were delighted to support the opening bid for another Church of England School in Norwood Green a few years ago when they approached us back in 2012.

Norwood Green will be a small one-from entry primary school and I provide a link to their website below.  We are pleased to learn that they will open their doors to their first thirty pupils into the reception class this September.  Initially, they will use the church hall as a classroom whilst a new building is built around them.  Setting up a new school is an exciting challenge and it is crucial to lay strong foundations and set high expectations from the start.

The Diocesan Board for Schools approached us to ask if we could support St Mary's School Norwood Green to lay these foundations securely.  Thus, it is with much pleasure that we announce that Mrs Mutch will work, on loan for twelve months in the first instance, as the interim headteacher to set up the school.  Mrs Mutch will take with her a valuable set of skills and experience from Christ the Saviour and we are blessed to be able to support the wider work of the deanery and the church in this way.

Mrs Tramoni and I shall be re-arranging the leadership structure for next year, utilising the skills of our two new and brilliant assistant headteachers (Miss Lee and Miss Jones) to make sure that CtS continues to flourish.

Very best wishes,

Mr Prentice
