Summer Term in Reception

Published

We have been having such a busy term in Reception! There has been lots of exciting learning and fantastic activities taking place in Reception since Easter.

The children have been learning about growth and change in people and plants. As part of this topic, the children grew their own pots of cress, learning about what plants need to stay alive and grow healthily. Linked to this, we welcomed a very special visitor last week... Mr. Sedaghat's dog, Juno! Each class met Juno and learnt a little about how to care for a dog and discussed how this was different to taking care of a plant or another human.

The children have also been learning about minibeasts this term, taking part in an exciting minibeast hunt and recording what they found, and learning lots of interesting facts about these tiny creatures.

It has also been a busy time for RG and RS, who have already presented their class assemblies. RA will be sharing their hard work with us tomorrow, and RR the following Wednesday. The children have worked so hard in all the classes, and we send a special thanks to all those at home who have helped the children learn their lines and for showing us your continued support.
