Y3 Egyptian day

Last week, the year 3 children enjoyed a great day of celebrating all things Egyptian. The magnificent outfits and costumes really contributed to the ancient atmosphere of the day. In the morning we had an Egyptian fashion show. Later everyone participated in an big feast and afterwards they went to work on designing and creating their own individual and unique pieces of jewellery. Each class also worked in groups to create an accurate map of Egypt using candy and biscuts!! It was lovely to see the children combine their historic and geographic skills to work to create an accurate representation of the Nile and key areas/ cities of ancient significance. Everyone had a great day- even the teachers! It was a fun and active day using all our learning from the past term!
