Y3 Pedestrian training

Published

This week year three had a fantatsic oppurtunity to have pedestrian training. They learned about how to walk sensibly around our local streets, to avoid becoming distracted and how to stay super safe. The children were able to share lots of previous knowledge they knew about road and street safety, which was very impressive. They looked at different ways to check for oncoming traffic, and how to cross and identify different types of road crossings. They even became more familiar with the features of pedestrian crossings and how they are build to support everyone, even those with visual impairments. The children really enjoyed their day, and came back a little wiser about their local area!
