Y3 Poppy factory visit

Published

The year 3 classes went to visit the Poppy factory this term. They recieved a tour around the factory and also learned lots of interesting things. They learned about how the poppies are produced and how the factory employees are veterans. From the information shared, the children were able to further their understanding of the importance and the significant of remembering those who have died in conflict. The poppy is such a widely recognised symbol that the children were thrilled to hand-make their own poppies. Some children attempted to make their poppies with one hand behind their back using a device specifically made to facilitate those with the use of only one arm! The children were extremely well behaved and made all their teachers very proud.
