Y3 Terrific trip to Kew

Published

This week the year 3 children went on an educational visit to Kew gardens where they became Plant Scientists for the day! They explored the gardens and even saw some carnivorous plants up close and personal! They all participated in a fascinating workshp, looking at different seeds and the ways they are dispersed. They even turned in to squirrels for a few minutes and had to hide their food!! The children couldn't believe their eyes when they saw one of the largest seeds found in the world, the Coco de Mer, which is found in the Indian Ocean! It was an exciting and interesting day out which both the children and adults thoroughly enjoyed!
