Year 1 learn about Victorian toys

Published

Last week was a very exciting time for Year 1. We had the chance to visit Gunnersbury Park to support our topic on Toys in History.  We all put our best foot forward and walked to Gunnesbury House.

The weather was great and spirits were high. We definitely managed to enjoy ourselves!   At the house, the children took part in a workshop looking at old and new toys.  They were then allowed to play with the genuine Victorian artifacts and explore their uses.  Whilst there, children were able to practice their landscape drawing skills to sketch the grounds of the house looking around at all the natural beauty the park had to offer.
