Year 2 Victorian Day

Published

Today, Year 2 had the opportunity to travel back in time, all the way to the Victorian Era. They put down their regular CTS uniforms to transform in to all manner of wonderfully authentic, Victorian clothing.

The day was part of Year 2's history topic, where they are focusing on the life and legacy of Florence Nightingale. Not only were children faced with a very strict Victorian regime but were expected to uphold the important Victorian school rules.

The day included: a session of Victorian toy making; marching drills and Victorian playground games; baking and sewing.

The children had a thoroughly enjoyable day and it was a wonderful way to welcome in the end of term.
