Year 3 Refugee Day

Year 3 have spent the day learning about and reflecting on what it is like to be a refugee. The children were very fortunate to spend time with a refugee from Syria, who told the story of two children living in a camp in Lebanon. Year 3 were able to think about how different the lives of these children must be to their own. Pupils then wrote letters and messages of support, which will be taken to the camp in Lebanon. Later in the day pupils laid coins on the mural of a dove in the playground thinking about how peace could change the lives of refugees worldwide. Bookmarks were made in the afternoon to help our fundraising efforts.
