Year 5 explore pollination in plants!

Published

The children all enjoyed a hands on, engaging workshop where they identified different trees and plants. They learnt how to recognise whether plants are mainly pollinated by the wind of by insects and the importance of pollination in the reproduction cycle. They explored woodland areas as well as the flower gardens, using colour coding sheets and observation keys to identify the different plants.

Overall, a brilliant, informative day- kick starting our new science topic!
