Year 5 welcome Commonwealth delegation

Published

Dr Rupa Huq, MP for Ealing Central and Acton was hosting a delegation of commonwealth MP's in her constituency today and popped in to CtS to introduce them to our Year 5 pupils. Delegates from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association were visiting from Australia, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Turks and Caicos Islands and Zambia. We held a fascinating meeting with Year 5 pupils asking questions to the delegates such as: what food they eat, whether they had met the Queen, what their schools were like and what they would say if they met Theresa May! Year 5 enjoyed learning about other commonwealth countries and their systems of Government and we hope they have been inspired by hearing how these politicians serve their communities.

The delegates were impressed with the maturity of our students and their thoughtful and articulate questions as well as their engaging tours of the school. Well done Year 5!
