Year 5’s Shape Shop

Published

Last week, a group of Year 5 children started working hard in their shape factories to design and create their own nets of various polyhedra. These nets needed to be constructible and would be sold in our Shape Shop. The challenge for the children was to produce the most expensive net following a set of strict guidelines. In addition, they each had to produce a model of the 3D shape that the net forms and clear instructions. The prices of their nets ranged from £19 to over £120!

Yesterday the Shape Shop opened its doors to some lucky Year 3 children who were able to view all the nets on offer, witness some questionable sales tactics and complete their order forms indicating which nets they would like to purchase. The children will be receiving their items in the next few days!
