Year 6 children at the basketball competition

On Thursday 16th March CtS entered two teams into the Willow Tree SSP Basketball Competition. The 'B' had a tough draw and ended up playing all of their games back to back. They finished 1st in the category winning 6 with the loss of just 1 game.

The 'A' team started of in a group of three with the victors progressing to play the winners of the other groups. They showed great determination to win both of their games and finish 1st in their group. This set them up with two tough fixtures against the winners of the other groups. After winning a feisty battle against Our Lady of Visitation, the team were back on court straight away against another strong opponent in Downe Manor. Buoyed on by earlier victories the team played well to make it four wins out of four, and took home the 1st place medals.

This means that the 'A' team will  go on to the Ealing borough finals in April to compete for a chance to represent Ealing at the London Youth Games. All children demonstarted outstanding sportsmanship and should be proud of themselves.
