Y6 Biology Field Trip

A spot of fishing!
Not a single tree stump remained unturned!

Gunnersbury Triangle became one of the London Wildlife Trust's first reserves when it was saved from development by a campaign run by local people. Since the end of the Second World War the woodland within the triangle has grown up naturally and the reserve has become a sheltered birch and willow woodland with an attractive pond, marsh and meadow.

Year 6 followed the nature trail, listened out for birds, field voles and a host of other creatures.  We hunted for invertebrates and we dipped in the pond and caught tadpoles, newts and dragonfly larvae - to name but a few creatures!
