Year 6 Go Wild for the Wildlife!

Published

A fabulous time was had by all 3 classes!
The caterpillar's many legs didn't help it run quick enough!
Mmmm.. what do we have here?

This week Year 6 visited Gunnersbury Triangle - a six-acre treasury of wildlife in West London. We went to carry out pond-dipping and mini-beast investigations as part of our current science unit on habitat and adaptation.

The Gunnersbury Triangle became one of the London Wildlife Trust's first reserves when it was saved from development by a campaign run by Chiswick residents. Since the end of the Second World War the woodland has grown up naturally and the reserve has become sheltered woodland with an attractive pond, marsh and meadow.
