Year 6 Netball Match

Published

The Year 6 Yellow Netball Squad played Montpelier Primary school on Monday. The weather was not ideal for a netball match; it was cold and raining quite heavily when the match started, so players on both sides had to contend with a slippy ball and numb fingers. Despite the adverse conditions CTS were leading 3-0 by half time. Montpelier battled back in the third quarter, scoring 2 goals to CTS's 1 goal. So whilst the rain had stopped CTS's prospects were not looking so bright; their lead had narrowed to 4-2. In the final quarter some excellent play by Nathan Lawler helped tighten up the Yellow Squad's defence. The result was a wet, but well earned, 7-2 victory.
