On Friday 28th January , one of our Year 5 pupils organised a cake sale to support Cancer Research UK at the Broadway site. A massive thank you to all the many generous families who baked and contributed to the delicious treats sold to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. In total, the cake sale raised £1064, a fantastic total which will support scientists gaining a deeper understanding of cancer and conducting further research into treatments for cancer.
The pupil said: “I think that this money will definitely make a change for people affected by cancer. It made me feel very happy that I had made a big change in people’s lives. If you try to do something you want that helps others and don’t give up it’s likely to come true”
