14 Feb Half Term Poster Competition
This half term why not create an entry for the British Science Week poster competition? We are inviting all pupils, from Nursery through to Year 6, to create an A4 or A3 poster on the theme of ‘Change or Adapt‘ which is the theme of British Science Week 2025. British Science Week is a celebation of technology, engineering, maths and science that takes place later in the spring term; from March 7th to March 16th.
Pupils can interpret the theme in any way they like: their poster could be about how plants and animals have changed and adapted; it could be about how technology helps humans to change and adapt; it could be about the climate and how as a society we need to change and adapt to look after our world.
As a school we will be giving prizes and certifcates for the best entries and we will create a display of the entries on each site We will then choose the best five posters from across the school to represent CtS in the national competition. The criteria the national judges are looking for are:
- Creativity in approach – Innovative angle on the content or creative interpretation of the theme – don’t be afraid to think outside the box
- Content – Clear, accurate and informative about a STEM topic
- Effective communication – presented and communicated in an engaging way
If you want to see examples of last years national winners have a look here.
Please hand in your poster entries to the school office by Friday February 28th – remember to put your name and class on the back!
