Football Winners

Ten boys from Year 5 and Year 6 travelled to Gunnersbury Park last Friday to participate in the Advanced Football Competition.

There were ten schools taking part, with two groups of five in the first phase of the competition. Each group game was twenty minutes long, so plenty of football was played by all.

The CtS team started the group stages brilliantly, scoring plenty of goals and defending excellently to top the group with three wins out of four.

Into the semi finals and the boys produced a convincing performance at both ends of the pitch to win and progress to the final.

The final was a tough match against good opponents, who took the lead before half-time. However, demonstrating excellent team spirit and resilience, the boys recovered to deservedly win the game 2-1.

The boys showed terrific skill and respect throughout, and they enjoyed the celebrations with their medals! Congratulations to all involved.
