Lent Service – Thank you!

Thank you so much to everyone who supported our Lent charity drive in partnership with Ealing Foodbank. Our school council did a great job of making posters and organising the donations for their year group. The Broadway school council representatives then visited the foodbank, where they learned about how the foodbank works and what they do. They were surprised by how many people need to use the foodbank – 38,903 people last year – and could appreciate just how important this service is to our community.

Bri, who works at Ealing Foodbank, also came to our Collective Worship and helped us to understand what the foodbank needs most and how many families they help locally. This also provided a really important reminder that we can continue our acts of service beyond Lent and support vital charities like Ealing Foodbank year-round.

We have been so impressed with all of the contributions that were made – over 365kg of goods were donated! This was valued at over £1000 worth of food and toiletries which will make a huge difference to those in our community experiencing hardship and needing support. Thank you!
