10 Oct Cross Country Competition
On Thursday afternoon, 17 children from Year 5 and 6 visited Horsenden Hill to take part in the annual cross country competition. The course was 1.5km in length and took place on two large hilly fields – running a race in a grass field, as opposed to a track or playground surface, was a new challenge for many of the children!
The cross country meet was well attended with over a hundred children in each race from primary schools across Ealing. The year 5 girls’ race was first and all the girls did superbly to finish in a very good time. Next was the year 5 boys’ race and CtS were delighted to win a gold medal with a first place position – a quite outstanding result!
It was then time for the Year 6 girls’ race, and again all our girls finished in excellent time. The day finished with the Year 6 boys’ race, and all three of our participants did extremely well. All of our CtS cross country team finished very well placed in their races resulting in Christ the Saviour gaining an overall position of third place out of the 26 schools who entered.
Well done CtS! We are so proud of your achievements!
