The Mayor of London has expanded the provision of free school meals to all pupils in state funded primary schools. This means that all pupils from Reception to Year 6 will receive a free meal for the academic year 2024/2025. 

All classes give thanks to God for the food they eat by saying Grace before they enter the dining hall. They give thanks to the catering staff by:

• Waiting patiently for their meal
• Using “please” when requesting their meal
• Saying “thank you” when their meal is served
• Keeping a tidy area around their plate
• Communicating quietly and politely with others sitting at their table

 

 

The school council gathers views about school lunches each year and offers suggestions for improvements to our catering team, which are made accordingly.

Menus and Suppliers

Our menus meet and exceed the standards laid down by the School Food Trust. We use seasonal vegetables, fresh food, and fair-trade products where possible and ensure there are always at least two options – including a vegetarian option. The large majority of pupils and staff enjoy a school lunch together every day and dining is seen as an important part of our community.

Cost for Nursery pupils

A school meal (for Nursery pupils only) is £3 per day.

School lunches must be paid in advance via ParentPay. To avoid parents accumulating a debt with the school we do not allow lunch debt to build to more than £20 and families with a debt of more than £20 will be asked to provide a packed lunch for their child until the debt is cleared.  

Allergies

We cater for pupils with allergies. If you have any additional requests, please get in touch with our school chef via the office – the catering team is always willing and eager to help adapt menus to suit individual needs.

Packed Lunches

If you are providing a packed lunch for your child please remember that we endeavour to be a nut free school and parents should be mindful of other allergies that children may have in their child’s class. We ask that parents pack a healthy lunch for their child which does not include nuts, sweets or chocolate bars.
