05 Jun Getting Green Fingered
It has been lovely to have some of our Year 6 back this week. They have been spending a lot of time outside and the rooftop playground is a particular favourite. The rooftop garden is looking blooming beautiful at the moment! Yesterday, some of the Year 6 bubbles helped our wonderful school gardener to water and tend to the plants. One lucky bubble even helped to pick some delicious, home-grown vegetables from the beds.
Spring onions, red onions and enormous bulbs of garlic were harvested on Thursday. Last year, we were able to use our vegetables in our school dinners. As we’re not serving hot meals at the moment, many of our teachers where very eager to take some of the produce home for their own culinary delights!
