Spelling Shed Superstars!

Despite the lockdown, our learners have been endeavouring to improve their spelling. It is wonderful to see so much engagement in Spelling Shed and improvement in spelling across the school. Many classes have been keeping up with their weekly spelling tests through the Hive or on Google Meets with their teacher – and loving it! Firstly, well done everyone on showing such drive and passion for your learning.

Next, I wanted to finish this first half term of lockdown celebrating this amazing engagement! Before Christmas, 5SD were STORMING ahead of everyone else and even met my challenge to get into the world Top 100 classes – they actually made it to number 7!! Amazing! Now, it is 5TG carrying the spelling torch and giving 5SD a real run for their money. Well done to Year 6 as well for your consistency, although, where are you 6RH? Which class will take up the challenge to get to the top next half term? Maybe it will be 4HN, who are doing amazingly well in third place – you are really showing up the rest of Year 3 and 4! And a special welcome to 2AT in the Spelling Shed Top 10 – what absolute superstars you are!

Our Top Spellers are really showing their dedication to improving their spelling. This is extremely impressive! Emilia in 4HN is at the top of the leaderboard for the first time. Congratulations, what an achievement! Then we have Victoria in 5TG in second and Thajeev in 5SD who continues his unbeaten run in the Top 3 Spellers. Well Done!

Your challenge over your break and half term is to get your class back into that World Top 100! I wonder if we could have two classes from Christ the Saviour in there? Do you accept the challenge?
