Diwali Dancing in Reception

Last week Reception took part in a Diwali dance workshop, led by ‘West End in schools’. During the workshop the children explored the story behind the festival of Diwali. They learnt a dance routine which retold the story of how Rama and Lakshman had to rescue Sita, when she was taken by the evil ten-headed demon, Ravana. Each class then enjoyed performing the routine to traditional Indian music.
