Lent Fundraising in LKS2

This year the pupils in each year group have chosen their own charities to advocate and fundraise for during this time of Lent.

Our Year 3 pupils chose to raise money for Children in Need, the well known children’s charity that seeks to change the lives of the most vulnerable and needy children in the UK. Last week Year 3 enjoyed coming to school in their pyjamas to raise money for this very worthwhile cause.

This week our Year 4 pupils chose to come to school wearing blue and yellow, the colours of the Ukranian flag, to help fundraise for the Red Cross who are providing humanitarian aid for those affected by the war. Did you know that the bright blue and yellow colours of the Ukranian flag represent the blue sky and the yellow wheat fields that stretch for hundreds of miles across Ukraine?
