Delicious DT!

Last week, Year 2 had a DT day and were immersed in making seaside themed snacks for a picnic. The first part of the day was spent designing their snacks and deciding what ingredients to use. The children also talked about how to prepare food safely; discussions included talking about the importance of having clean hands and how to handle a knife properly.

Year 2 used fruit to create animals that could be found at the seaside, decorated biscuits with classic seaside scenes and served healthy sandwiches with a variety of flavours.

After a thorough taste test, Year 2 evaluated each item and discussed what went well and what could be improved. All in all, a very successful day!
