We have had lots of opportunities to enjoy inter school sport recently with teams going out to both a Tag Rugby Festival and an UKS2 Football competition.
Our Tag Rugby team was made up of eight Year 3 children, who travelled to Northolt High School, to take part in a Tag Rugby Megafest! This was a fun event designed for the children to learn new skills, enjoy physical activity and experience the excitement of an inter-school event.
Willow Tree, our School Sports Partnership, organised the event with pupils from Northolt High School in leadership roles as the coaches and instructors. The children played lots of fun games and activities and did a lot of running!
Everyone had a lovely morning and were a credit to the school with their behaviour and enthusiasm. Ludwin was awarded a certificate for determination, the School Games’ value he demonstrated throughout the event. Well done, Ludwin!
Whilst the Year 3s enjoyed learning a new sport, our more experienced UKS2 football team had the opportunity to take part in an advanced football competition at Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub. There were 8 schools competing in a round-robin format, with each match lasting twenty minutes.
The CtS children applied tactics really well with plenty of excellent attacking play resulting in 19 goals scored across all the matches played.
CtS ended the day with three wins, three draws and only one defeat from the seven matches. They earned very well deserved bronze medals which they are proudly displaying below!
