British Science Week will take place from March 8th – 17th this year and is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the world of science. The theme for 2024 is TIME.
In honour of this year’s British Science Week we are running a science challenge on the theme of time over the half term break. If you would like to enter please follow the steps below:
- Pick a place in the world in a different time zone to the UK
- Find out what time it will be there if it is 9.00am in the UK
- Draw a picture of the place and tell us what people might be doing there at that time of day. Will they be sleeping? At school? Heading to work? Having lunch?
- Include the time of day in your chosen place and the location name in your picture
- Send a photograph of your entry to our science lead, Ms Song, song@cts-school.org with the subject line ‘BSW Challenge’ with your name and class.
The deadline for completing the challenge is: Monday 19th February 4 pm
If you would like to you can also bring your pictures into school so that we can create a display in school for British Science Week. Certificates will be awarded to everyone who enters and we will choose the five best entries to send into the RAF Hendon Science Competition to see if we can win a free Science show for our school!
